Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania!
You’ll be warmly welcomed at Kilimanjaro International Airport by our safari representative. Transfer to your family-friendly lodge in Arusha where you can relax after your journey. A short nature walk or visit to a local coffee farm for the adults.
Day 2 - Arusha – Tarangire National Park (Elephant Kingdom)
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge elephant herds and towering baobab trees. Enjoy a thrilling game drive spotting giraffes, zebras, antelope, lions, and more. Picnic lunch inside the park—perfect for a relaxed family outing. Kids will love learning how elephants communicate and watching playful warthogs.
Day 3 - Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
A short drive brings you to Lake Manyara, known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, hippos, and lush groundwater forests. Exciting game drive with beautiful lake views and photo opportunities. Visit to Mto wa Mbu village, where children can interact with local kids and learn about African daily life (banana plantation, school visit, art classes).
Day 4 - Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater (Nature’s Playground)
Descend into the UNESCO World Heritage Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder packed with wildlife. See rhinos, elephants, buffalos, lions, flamingos, and possibly cheetahs—all in one place. Picnic lunch by the hippo pool—safe and magical for kids. Return to the lodge for storytelling around a campfire.
Day 5 - Drive to Serengeti National Park (The Endless Plains)
Scenic drive through the Ngorongoro highlands to Serengeti, Tanzania’s most iconic park. Game drive en route—watch for migrating wildebeest, gazelles, and predators. Arrive at your tented camp in the heart of the wild.
Day 6 - Full Day in Serengeti – Safari Adventure for All Ages
Full-day game drives in the Serengeti, with flexibility for shorter drives or picnic lunch. Look out for the Big Five: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo. Short nature walks near camp or storytelling time with the local Maasai staff.
Day 7 - Serengeti – Return to Karatu
Morning game drive as you slowly exit Serengeti, spotting any animals you may have missed. Drive back to Karatu through the Ngorongoro highlands, stopping for scenic photos. Evening at leisure, with time to relax or swim at the lodge.
Day 8 - Return to Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha, Optional stop at a cultural center or local souvenir shop. Transfer to the airport for your international flight or onward journey.
